Solo Nightmare Virtual Realm Guide

How to clear 100% difficulty Nightmare Mode using only ONE unit. The ultimate Kriatu build for farming Mythic Headgear and Tokens.

Solo Nightmare Virtual Realm Guide

The "Bleed" Strategy

Why Kriatu + Astral Trait breaks the game.

The key to soloing Nightmare mode is the interaction between Kriatu and the Magician Path in Virtual Realm.

The Mechanic:

Kriatu normally doesn't inflict DOT (Damage Over Time). However, if you pick the Magician Path, he inflicts "Critical Bleed" for 200% damage. This counts as a DOT effect.

By equipping the Astral Trait (which buffs DOT damage and duration), you create an infinite scaling damage loop that melts bosses instantly.

The Kriatu Build

You need this exact setup for consistency.

Unit

Kriatu (E6 Recommended)

Evolution 6 adds Crit Rate, which scales the bleed damage. Not strictly necessary but makes it safer.

Cooldown: 70 pts | Damage: 29 pts

Astral

Trait

Why? It buffs affliction duration and damage. Combined with Magician Path, it makes Kriatu OP. (Ruler works too but requires a different path. Astral is best for Magician.)

Relic Setup

Top Junior Ninja Jacket | Stats: +120% Crit Dmg, +5% DOT Dmg

Bot Junior Ninja Pants | Stats: +60% Damage

Helm DOT Helmet (Specific) | Look for the one that gives: "Every 5 attacks increase DOT damage by 20%".

In-Game Steps

1. Select Path: Magician

Always pick Magician at the start. This gives the critical bleed effect needed for Astral to work.

2. Card Selection Priority

Prioritize Magician cards that buff status effects or DOT.

Corruption (Slow)

Radiation (More DOT)

Damage +5% per Upgrade

3. Late Game: Fortune Cards

Once Kriatu is max level, you don't need gold. Pick Fortune Cards that say "Double upgrade cost but increase damage by 100%". Since you are already maxed, the cost increase doesn't hurt you!

⚠️ Avoid This Card!

Never pick "Decrease Damage, Increase AoE Size". Kriatu is already Full AoE, so AoE size buffs do nothing, but the damage decrease will hurt you.
