Solo Hunters: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide

Master Solo Hunters with our comprehensive beginner’s guide! Learn the best stat builds (Tank vs. Assassin), how to find the Code Merchant, the secret to Shiny gear fusing, and the fastest way to level up to 1,000

Solo Hunters: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide

Solo Hunters is a dungeon-crawler RPG that blends fast-paced combat with a "mastery" system. Your goal is to increase your Power Level, clear challenging Gates, and build the ultimate hunter.

1. Getting Started: Power Levels and Gates

The core of the game revolves around Gates (dungeons).

  1. Power Level: Your Power Level (displayed above your head) determines which dungeons you can enter.
  2. Dungeon Drops: Every gate offers "Dungeon Drops" (common armor/gold) and "Boss Drops" (unique weapons, rings, and armor specific to that zone).
  3. Speed Matters: Clearing a dungeon in under 1 or 2 minutes grants significant XP bonuses.
  4. Red Gates: These are high-risk, high-reward versions of normal dungeons. You only have one life, the bosses are stronger, but they are the best source for gems and mythic-tier loot.

2. Stats and Classes

Classes in Solo Hunters act as stat buffs rather than locking you into specific skills.

  1. The Meta: Tank and Assassin are currently considered the best classes. Avoid the Summoner class for now.
  2. Stat Distribution (Level Cap: 1,000):
  3. Agility: Aim for 400 (for movement speed).
  4. Defense: Aim for 400 (for survivability).
  5. Strength/Magic: Put 1,000 points into your primary damage stat depending on your build.
  6. Energy: Necessary primarily for Magic users to fuel abilities and dashing.
  7. Leveling Up: You get 2 skill points per level. The fastest way to level is by clearing the highest-level Gate you can manage.

3. Gear Progression: Fusing and Sets

Don't just equip the item with the highest base number. Strategy matters:

  1. Fusing (Shiny Gear): You can fuse three of the same item (weapons, armor, or magic) to create a Shiny version. A Shiny low-tier item is often more powerful than a non-shiny high-tier item.
  2. Set Bonuses: Wearing a full set (e.g., Iron Set) provides massive buffs, such as +20% melee damage. It is usually better to wear a full lower-level set than random pieces of higher-level gear.
  3. Power Cells: Use Power Cells and Gold to level up your equipment. These can be found in dungeons or bought from the Merchant.

4. NPCs and Important Locations

Press 'M' to open your map. Key landmarks include:

  1. Merchant: Located near spawn; sells basic power cores, reset fruits, and stat crystals.
  2. Code Merchant: Located at the Docks (follow the main street from spawn and turn left through the fence break). This is where you redeem codes for free class rerolls.
  3. Enchant NPC: Located in the divot near the Spider Cave/Jungle area.

5. Advanced Power-Ups: Enchanting and Mastery

  1. Enchanting: Use Scrolls (Basic to Mythic) to add random buffs to your weapons. Warning: There is no way to save a roll; if you roll again, your current enchant is gone forever.
  2. Weapon Luck: For every 1,000 kills with a weapon, you gain a +1% Luck bonus when rerolling its internal stats.
  3. Mastery: Using a weapon or spell earns mastery points. You cannot unlock every node in the skill tree, so prioritize cooldown reduction and damage for your favorite skills.

6. Overworld Events: Power Breaks

Look for red portals in the overworld. These Power Breaks challenge you with waves of enemies.

  1. They are excellent for farming Stat Reroll Crystals and Power Cores.
  2. Pro Tip: Use a free private server to farm Power Breaks without interference.

7. How to Earn Gems

Gems are the premium currency needed for top-tier summons. You can get them via:

  1. Codes (The easiest way for beginners).
  2. Daily Rewards.
  3. Quests (Good for gems, but bad for XP).
  4. Red Dungeons (The best late-game farm).
  5. Robux.
