Anime and sports don't usually mix. One is about screaming power-ups. The other is about putting a ball where the other guy isn't.
Racket Rivals somehow makes it work.
Badminton, tennis, volleyball—it's all in there, wrapped in anime-inspired abilities that actually feel useful. But here's the thing: picking the wrong Spirit or Awakening will leave you losing to players who have half your skill. And a bad Racket? Forget about it.
This Racket Rivals tier list breaks down every Spirit, Awakening, and Racket in the game. S-tier carries. D-tier traps. And everything in between.

How This Racket Rivals Tier List Works
This Racket Rivals tier list ranks Spirits and Awakenings separately from Rackets. Why? Because they do different things.
- Spirits give you active abilities during matches (freeze the ball, slow time, pull shots toward you).
- Awakenings provide passive or team-wide buffs (movement speed, court effects, ball manipulation).
- Rackets are your base stats. A good Racket carries you early. A good Spirit + Awakening combo wins you games at high levels.
Let's dive in.
Spirits & Awakenings Tier List
Here are the best Spirits and Awakenings in Racket Rivals. Higher tiers = better value = more wins.
Tier | Spirit | Awakening |
S | Jin, Gazo, Gomu | Captain Salute |
A | Kyoki, Hinari | Ground Slam, Wall Portals |
B | Senshu | Curve Shot |
C | Gojin | Aim Bot |
S-Tier Spirits & Awakening
These are the top meta options. Use them, and you'll win most of your matches.
Spirit / Awakening | Description |
Gomu (Spirit) | Freezes the ball anywhere on the court. Stops unreachable shots and difficult-to-block hits cold. |
Jin (Spirit) | Pulls the ball toward you. Lets you line up shots without scrambling across the court. |
Gazo (Spirit) | Slows down time for a short duration. Gives you extra seconds to position for defense or offense. |
Captain Salute (Awakening) | Places a flag on your court that buffs your entire team's movement speed. Great for 2v2 and 3v3. |
A-Tier Spirits & Awakenings
Solid options if you don't have S-tier. Not quite as broken, but still very viable.
Spirit / Awakening | Description |
Kyoki (Spirit) | Throws a smoky orb at enemies. Blinds them on hit. Good for disrupting their timing. |
Hinari (Spirit) | Sets the ball on fire. Enemies can't touch or return it unless they put out the flame. Free points if their set is on cooldown. |
Ground Slam (Awakening) | Summons rocks on the enemy's court. Slows them down. |
Wall Portals (Awakening) | Walls that act as portals. Sends the ball directly to the enemy's court. |
B-Tier Spirits & Awakening
Not meta. Not terrible. With enough skill, you can make these work.
Spirit / Awakening | Description |
Senshu (Spirit) | Places an AoE sphere that automatically repels any ball that hits it. Defensive, but predictable. |
Curve Shot (Awakening) | Curves the direction of the ball. Decent for catching opponents off guard. |
C-Tier Spirits & Awakening
Not recommended unless you have nothing else. Hope the devs buff these.
Spirit / Awakening | Description |
Gojin (Spirit) | Turns you invisible and increases run speed. Decent in 1v1. Terrible in 2v2 and 3v3. |
Aim Bot (Awakening) | Sends the ball to the best possible spot on the enemy's court. Sounds good, but doesn't deliver. |

Racket Rivals Tier List FAQ
Q: Which Spirits and Awakenings should beginners focus on?
A: Aim for S-tier options like Gomu, Jin, or Captain Salute. They're easy to use, forgiving, and strong in almost every match type.
Q: Do higher-tier Rackets matter more than Spirits and Awakenings?
A: Yes and no. A strong Racket carries you early on. But at higher skill levels, combining a top-tier Racket with the right Spirit and Awakening is what actually wins games.
Q: What's the best Spirit in Racket Rivals?
A: Gomu (ball freeze) and Jin (ball pull) are the current top picks. Both give you control over the ball that other Spirits can't match.
Q: What's the best Awakening?
A: Captain Salute (team movement speed buff) is the strongest overall. Great in every game mode.
Q: Is Gojin worth using?
A: Only in 1v1. In 2v2 or 3v3, invisibility doesn't help much. Your teammates still get hit.
Q: How do I get Divine rarity Rackets?
A: Divine Rackets (Soul Smash, Divine Spin, Dragon's Breath) are limited or event-exclusive. Check the game regularly for opportunities.
