Dive Down Fish List: The Complete Bestiary with Spawn Locations

I’ve spent hours dragging myself through the depths of Dive Down, oxygen tank running low, desperately searching for that one fish to finally hit Rebirth 4. And every time I thought I knew where things spawned, I’d end up in the wrong zone, watching someone else swim off with a Whalefish.

If you’re chasing a full Dive Down fish list—whether you’re filling out your bestiary, hunting Secrets, or just trying to figure out where the Mermaid hides—you’ve come to the right place. This guide breaks down every biome, every fish, and exactly where to find them. No guessing. Just dive straight to the zone you need and start catching.

All Dive Down Fish by Rarity & Spawn Location

Dive Down splits its ocean into seven distinct biomes, each with its own set of fish. The shallow zones are packed with Common and Rare fish—great for early cash—but if you want Mythical, Secret, or the single Divine fish in the game, you’ll need to go deep. Real deep.

Here’s your complete Dive Down fish list, biome by biome.

Sunlight Zone Fish List: Common to Epic

The Sunlight Zone is where every player starts. It runs from the surface down to 30 meters. Nothing too flashy here, but these fish are your ticket to buying better gear.

Coral Reef Fish in Dive Down: Rare to Legendary

The Coral Reef biome starts at 30 meters and goes down to 70 meters. This is where you’ll start seeing Legendary fish like the Turtle and Shark.

Pro tip: Shark spawns aren’t consistent. Camp this zone for a while if you’re trying to check it off your Dive Down bestiary.

Twilight Zone Fish: Where Mythical Fish First Appear

The Twilight Zone runs from 71 meters to 165 meters. This is the first biome where Mythical fish can spawn—specifically the Jellyfish. Don’t expect to grab one on your first trip; the spawn rate is low, but the payout is worth it.

Deep Ocean Fish: Hammerhead & Narwhale Locations

The Deep Ocean is one of the largest biomes, stretching from 165 meters to 280 meters. This is a money-making zone—Epics and Legendaries are relatively common here. More importantly, this is where you’ll find the Hammerhead, which you need for Rebirth 2.

Deep Dark Fish List: Mythical Fish & the First Secret

The Deep Dark runs from 281 meters to 560 meters. This is the fifth biome and the first place where you’ll encounter a Secret fish—the Whale. You’ll also find some of the game’s most valuable Mythical fish here, including Anglerfish and Blobfish.

Trenches Fish: Whalefish Secret & Mythical Hatchetfish

The Trenches biome starts at 560 meters and ends at 670 meters. If you’ve made it this far, you’re in the endgame. This zone is packed with high-rarity fish, including another Secret: the Whalefish.

How to Get Secret Fish in Dive Down – Spawn Locations

Secrets are the second-highest rarity in Dive Down, with only five currently in the game. When a Secret spawns, the game announces it—but the announcement doesn’t tell you where. Here’s exactly where each Secret appears:

Pro tip: When you see the announcement, equip your heaviest weight and dive straight to the correct biome. Secrets almost never spawn in the center of the map—check the edges first.

Tips for Catching Secret Fish in Dive Down Fast

  1. Use the heaviest weight you own. Speed matters. You’re racing against every other player in the server.
  2. Check the sides first. Secret fish rarely spawn in the middle. Start your search at the biome’s edges.
  3. Equip your fastest fins. Catching the fish is only half the battle. You still have to make it back to the surface without drowning.
  4. Play in private servers. Only one Secret spawns per announcement. Less competition means better odds. If you have access to a private server, use it.
